By using Zakkiha you agree to the following. Please read it — it is deliberately short.
1) What Zakkiha is
A free platform with two pillars: a maqra'ah connecting a student to a Quran teacher in one-to-one sessions, and a parenting academy of educational content for families.
Free means free: no fees, no subscription, no ads, no selling data. We do not ask for a card and we will not. If that ever changes, it will come with clear advance notice and will not apply retroactively.
2) Your account
- An account belongs to an adult (18+). Children take part through a profile managed by their guardian, never through their own account.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for everything done from your account.
- Your email must be confirmed before you can book.
3) Sessions
- Sessions run over external meeting links (Google Meet or Zoom) provided by the teacher. We arrange the time and send reminders; the meeting itself is on the third party's platform and governed by their terms.
- A child under 13 attends under their guardian's supervision.
- Cancellation: a teacher may cancel a session at any time and you are notified. A student may cancel provided it is at least six hours before the session.
- Repeated unexcused absence may trigger an email alert to you and to the teacher.
4) Teachers
- A teacher appears in the directory only after manual approval by the administrator; nobody approves themselves.
- Matching is binding: a child under 13 may choose a teacher of either gender; from 13 upward a student is matched with a teacher of the same gender. This is enforced in the interface and in the database alike.
- Teachers are independent volunteers, not our employees. We verify what we can verify (qualifications and the recitation sample), but what happens inside a session is the responsibility of the two people in it.
- Report anything that concerns you immediately to
info@zakkiha.comand we will act.
5) Educational content
- Academy content is general education, not individual medical, psychological, or religious advice. It does not replace your child's doctor or a qualified specialist.
- Content is sourced to numbered, declared references (WHO, UNICEF, CDC, AAP, and others), and the "faith upbringing" section is not published until our sharia reviewer approves it.
- Recommended videos are hosted on external platforms, not by us; we review them at the time of recommendation and cannot guarantee what changes afterwards — tell us if you see something unsuitable.
6) What is not allowed
- Impersonating someone else, or creating a profile for a child you are not the guardian of.
- Harassing a teacher or student, or using contact details for anything other than sessions.
- Attempting to access other people's data, or probing the system's limits without our written permission.
- Using the platform for advertising, recruitment, or any commercial purpose.
Breaching these terms may end your account without prior notice.
7) Ownership
The name "Zakkiha", its visual identity, and the original content published on the platform belong to us. What you enter (your children's profiles, your notes, your progress) is yours — we process it only to run the service, and it is deleted when you delete your account.
8) Limitation of liability
The service is provided as is. We do our best to keep it available and safe, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law — this is a free service provided at no charge.
9) Termination
You may end your account at any time from the account page, and it is genuinely deleted. We may end an account that breaches these terms or puts a child at risk.
10) Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. info@zakkiha.com
